Foundations to floor screed, plot by plot.

A development runs on programme. Plots come out of the ground in sequence, the groundworks gang moves plot to plot, and the concrete has to keep pace without holding up the next trade. The drum-wagon model fights that: a full load per plot, part-load charges when a footing comes in light, and surplus tipped when the dig is smaller than ordered.

Procon mixes on site and meters every cubic metre, so each plot gets exactly what it pours. Strip and trench-fill foundations, oversite slabs, garage bases, drainage surrounds, then back through the development for the floors. No part-load charge between plots, no waste, one supplier from foundation to finished floor.

For the floors we supply both liquid screed and traditional screed. Liquid screed, a flowing self-levelling screed, goes down fast over large floor areas and is ideal over underfloor heating, where it flows around the pipes and gives excellent thermal contact. Traditional sand-cement screed is there when the spec or the detail calls for it. We mix whichever the floor needs, on site, to a consistent batch every time.

Because the materials are carried separately on the truck, one visit can switch between a foundation mix and a screed, and between liquid and traditional screed, without a second delivery. That keeps the programme moving and the trades in sequence.

Send the plot schedule and the floor spec, and dispatch will build the supply around your build programme.

WHY PROCON FOR HOUSING
  • 01

    Plot by plot, no waste

Metered per cubic metre, so each plot pays for what it pours. No part-load charge when a footing comes in light.

  • 02

    Liquid and traditional screed

Flowing liquid screed for fast, level floors over UFH, plus traditional sand-cement screed where the spec calls for it.

  • 03

    Foundations to floors, one supplier

Trench-fill, oversite, garage bases and floor screed from a single account and a single point of contact.

  • 04

    Built around your programme

Supply scheduled to your plot sequence, so the concrete never holds up the next trade.

  • 05

    Switch mixes on one visit

Materials carried separately, so one truck can pour a foundation mix and a screed without a second delivery.

  • 06

    Three depots, regional reach

Warrington, Leeds and Pontefract cover developments across Yorkshire and the North West.

Common questions

Do you supply housebuilders plot by plot?
Yes. We schedule supply to your plot sequence and meter every cubic metre, so each plot pays only for what it pours, with no part-load charge between plots.
Liquid screed or traditional screed for plots?
Liquid screed is a flowing, self-levelling screed that covers large floor areas fast and is ideal over underfloor heating. Traditional sand-cement screed suits smaller areas or where the spec requires it. We supply both and mix on site.
Is liquid screed good over underfloor heating?
Yes. Liquid screed flows around the UFH pipes and gives excellent thermal contact and an even, level finish, which is why it is the common choice for heated floors in new homes.
Can you match our build programme?
Dispatch builds the supply around your plot schedule and confirms each pour in writing with driver name and ETA, so the concrete keeps pace with the groundworks gang.
What grade do you supply for foundations?
C8 through C40 to BS EN 206 and BS 8500, batched on site to the engineer’s specification. The on-site batcher signs off the mix before the pour.
